Constructed in 1999 on a small constricted site 100m from Balmoral Beach. Marrakesh was the first of Somerset’s bespoke 4 bedroom residences .
Inspired by the palaces of all sizes throughout Morocco the use of intimate courtyards suited both the site and the Sydney climate .Three connected pavilions looked inward to a central courtyard with a reflection pool and fountain flanked by 2 enormous imported palms .
The entrance off the street was via another intimate courtyard bounded by flowering bougainvillea around an Olive Grove .
